The air is rich with the scent of fresh plants and Sweet pea flowers blooming like mad. They will take over a space so be warned! I do recommend them near a sunny spot at your house so a light breeze will carry their fragrance to you. Pulled some weeds in that area then inspected the sunflowers-not doing so great I'm afraid. I did manage despite being in pain from both the knee and ankle bugging to get some needful things done. I got some grow lights plus mole/gopher repellant, checked out the feed spikes for the fruit trees but not sure I will do so since it requires a whole lot of bending over. Deliciously satisfying and fulfilling work that toughens the hands and tires you out. I got the fencing I needed along with poles and a post hole thingie to push them down into our cement like ground. Now the back area is sealed off from the chickens. Don't ask me why it took so long for me to put the covers back on the compsot bins but whatevers I did it so some heat can be raised. I wanted the beds, observed the growth of the bush Zucchini with its big bright flower while noting the gopher had not returned to his spot near the potatoes.
